1 out of 5 stars JUNK LASTED 3 MONTHS   February 23, 2010

I BOUGHT THIS VCR/DVD PLAYER FOR MY MOTHER BECAUSE IT WAS EASY TO USE AND LIKE THE ONE SHE HAD. WE WERE HAPPY AT FIRST IT WAS WORKING GOOD, EXCEPT IT WAS VERY LOUD WHEN FF & REW AND WHEN IT STOPS IT SOUNDS LIKE THE TAPE BROKE. AFTER 3 MONTHS THE DVD STOPPED WORKING AND THE DVD IS STUCK INSIDE, AND NOW THE VCR FLIPS SOMETIMES. I WROTE TO DISCOUNT JUNGLE (THROUGH AMAZON) AND THIS IS THE ANSWER I GOT. I GUESS THEY MEAN TUFF SH..!@

We are sorry to hear about your experience with the purchased unit.
As much as we want to assist you, the item is no longer under warranty.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

4 out of 5 stars DVD/VCR Combination Player   February 7, 2010
Kathryn Martin (Lockridge, Iowa)
I bought this VCR for use between both my grandmother and myself. We own about as many VHS tapes as we do DVD's, and our old VCR decided to stop working.

It took some getting used to it, but it works wonderfully. There are no complaints from my end.

1 out of 5 stars poor quality control   January 17, 2010

Hooked it up w/o difficulty. DVD player worked well. VCR did everything but play (rewind/FF, etc all worked). Returned item.

1 out of 5 stars Piece of Junk!   September 19, 2009

Bought this mainly for the VCR, to watch my large collection of tapes. It would not play tapes without screeching, static, losing tracking, and generally poor video quality. It would not rewind properly, making a lot of noise and turning itself off and ejecting the tape (any tape). The remote had no Eject button, as the unit's manual described. A real piece of junk!

I paid more at another vendor that Amazon is selling it for, but it is not worth its weight in scrap. I returned it, of course.
